Our Christmas

Our Tree

Christmas Eve PJs for the kids. Evelyn got purple princess footies. Egan got Fire engine Elmo.

Egan very excited to get started!

Evelyn got a new "bear" and a toy bottle. Care bears are her favorite thing right now.

Chicken Little is Egans new favorite movie. He saw it for the first time at grandma and grandpa Harwards and has been bugging us to watch it again for the last six months so we had to get it for him.

Evelyn got a pink tea set. After opening it she immediately started handing out pretend tea to everyone. Such a cute little hostess.

Egan got a train set that goes with the one he got last year, now he can make a "Big Choo Choo!"

We had Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, green bean casserole, homemade rolls, apple pie, and martinelies cider. MMM good.

Christmas Songs with Daddy

Gingerbread Christmas Tree

My awesome cousin Katie came over with a surprise for the kids a few days before Christmas. They helped frost and decorate a gingerbread Christmas tree. Of course they had a ton of fun eating more than decorating, it still turned out great! Thanks Katie!

Aaron's 30!

Because of the holidays I haven't posted this when I should. Aaron turned 30 on the 22nd! I made the ugliest looking Boston cream pie for his birthday. It tasted great according to him, (he ate the whole thing! Minus one piece for the kids to share).

Earlier in the month we celebrated together on a date out to dinner and he got a new game for his game cube and another controller.

Beautiful Ice!

We are Iced in. Everything Is closed, and the streets are covered (no plows in this part of the country)There is some amazing beauty around us though. I took these pictures of a bush just outside our front door.

Winter in the Northwest!

Take a look at our snow! (unheard of in the northwest!) We went outside to build a snowman, and we discovered that our snow was covered with 1/2inch of ice! So as we stepped in it, it would crack under foot. We can throw the peices of ice over the top of the other ice and it will shatter! Its crazy! obviously we could not make a snowman, but we had fun anyway.

Look How They've Grown!

I found last year's pictures in the computer, and I wanted to post it with they're new ones. Its amazing to me how much they can change in just one year!

As you can see we had just as much trouble last year as we have this year.

I tried to take more pictures Sunday.

Its been a busy season, and I haven't had the opportunity or the funds to get the kids pics taken professionally. I was thinking it couldn't be too hard to take some myself... definitely not so, this one is the best out of the bunch.

They get worse from there.

Poor Evelyn she hates getting her picture taken,... and Egan touching her.

Any suggestions?

More Dress up

My wonderful sister gave me a few huge bags of clothes her massive Samoan boys have all ready grown out of. In those bags were these costumes Egan just Loves! Thank you Harmony!

I colored my hair....

My hair has grown pretty long this last year or so. I haven't had the opportunity to cut it, and I think I'll just keep it long a while, I still wanted a change and decided to color it. I got a color that looked like exactly what I wanted, darker with a hint of red, but it turned out a lot more red than anticipated. Aaron seems to like it, so that's ok. Luckily my hair doesn't hold color very well, and the red will fade soon. Here is a dorky picture I took myself.

My Aunt's Great News!

My Mother's sister is a wonderful woman. She has just brought another sweet spirit home to adopt for time and seal for eternity. Lucy Noel is her fourth child with down syndrome. What an inspiration to us all. Check out her blog! http://wynkoopfamily.blogspot.com/

Evidence

Most people don't believe me when I say I married a very silly man. He comes off to everyone but me as quiet, slick and and low key. Here is proof! Finally. We were playing with the camera last night. Watch out as you scroll down, I promise you will be rolling on the floor once you see the last pic.

Cute Kids!

I got the kids dressed for church yesterday, and decided to take their pictures in their new outfits for the holidays.

One of the better ones of them together. (Couldn't get em to hold still)

Evelyn's dress fits perfect. Lets hope she doesn't grow too much from now until Christmas.

Evelyn's Christmas Dress!

Ok, So I want to do a little bragging.. (more than I normally do, 'cus my kids are totally the cutest there are) I spent all day yesterday on Evelyn's Christmas Dress. And I think It turned out perfect. I found this beautiful embroidered material at Wal-mart for only $2.50 a yard! And of course when your making a little girls dress thats all you need! I had left over white scraps from a dress I made a few years back for myself, and left over buttons. I had an old pattern for an infant dress I re sized myself, and changed a bit. So for only $2.50 This is how it turned out! (the new shoes she will need will be another story.) I love it. I want one! Please forgive me my moment of Pride.

Egan Boy

So this is Egan on any old day. He Loves to dress up! Anything he can put on, He will. Yes those are Mr. Potato Head Glasses.

My Silly Girl.

Here's just a little bit of oddity from the Harward family. So Evelyn for the past year and 1/2 has attached herself to the ugliest pee yellow blanket we received from the Christmas Box House one Christmas. Its that old cheap polyester wannabe flannel material that your dry skin gets caught on. She LOVES the feel of that blanket. I can't seem to find that kind of material anywhere! I don't think they make it anymore. Recently she has decided that she likes the feel of her pillow without the pillow case on it. The material of the pillow is that cold and sticky kind. She most days throws a fit to wear pants, and will never ever keep her socks on. These are some of the things we laugh about our sweet silly "baby" Evelyn.

My Book Blog

This last year since moving to the northwest I have been working on this book, and I'm just about done with it. I had a dream one night of this great plot and love story. (After watching a Jane Austin Movie) Its about a young girl, a gentleman's daughter of wealth and station falling in love. The book is written with her Diary entries. I have copied my mom on a few chapters, and I think she likes it. I've decided to open up and allow those who want to read it, read it and maybe give comments and suggestions. (be kind =) I've created a blog where everyday I will post a new chapter, or Diary entry. This blog will be open by invitation only. If I haven't sent you an invitation and you would like to read it, let me know. Artwork for the "Cover" will soon be added.
I will be attaching a link from this blog.
Enjoy!

The Bunk Bed

I'm sure all reading this know how WILD my kids are. Somehow they managed to break their beds last week. Egan had a cute spongebob toddler bed from wal-mart. Evelyn had her crib in the day bed setting. Some how they jumped and moved, and jostled the beds to pieces. Literally stripping the bolts. I don't know how it was done... but there you have it. So after searching for a while I found a nice inexpensive used Bunk Bed on Craigslist, we got it home. (I put it together myself while Aaron was at work, yeah for me.) The kids LOVE this bed, they love it so much, they smuggled a pen into their room, and drew all over the finished wood the morning after sleeping on it the first time! Total frustration is a word I use often in motherhood.

An Oldie

Remember when they were this little? I've been looking through old picures on the computer. This is one of my favorites. I'm sure I'll share more.

My Sweet Kiddies on Halloween!

Egan was Peter Pan, and Evelyn Tinker Bell. Aaron was Hook, and I was Tiger Lilly. (luckily we didn't get a picture of the grown ups. he he) We went to my Dad's super nice neighborhood in Camas and trick or treated. It only took Egan one house to figure out what he had to say to get FREE CANDY! Evelyn followed suit quietly, but just as happy. Egan yelled to my dad "Faster PaPa faster!" as he ran down the street. We then went to our ward trunk or treat and got even more. Aaron and I of course are benefiting from the spoils! Couldn't get the kids to look at me at the same time. I should cut and paste.. but I'm lazy.

Me and the Kids

Aaron got a hold of the camera the other day... This is what I do most the day. Fun for me.

I'm a Twilight Fan

So I came across this quiz as to who I would be in the story.
I'm a Esme! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!
Take the Quiz and Share Your Results!

Interesting. I love this series. Can't wait for the movie!

Evelyn on the other Hand....

Though Egan enjoys in fact begs to wear one, Evelyn Does not like wearing a hat.... Maybe She's just not a BYU fan. (Heaven Forbid) Ridiculous Mickey Mouse hat that actually goes on a stuffed animal.

Egan's new Peter Pan Hat. He wins the award for best smile in this one.

Excited for Halloween!

Egan Has a new favorite movie! We were at a thrift store and found a copy of Peter Pan on VHS for really cheap and got it, because we are always ready for a new movie for them to get hooked to. (The last one was Mary Poppins... Egan ran around saying "Steppin Time") So he has watched Peter Pan every day as many times as I would let him for the last week. We decided to recycle Evelyn's costume from last year (Tinker Bell) that I made her because they didn't get an opportunity to wear them (moving). So I found some old green flannel that I had in my fabric stock and made up Egan a peter pan costume. Upon seeing it he insisted on wearing it, and not just for a minute, but all day! He ran around saying "Egan is Peter Pan, I can fly!" with his arms out running as fast as he can. "WEEE" I've hid it this morning. he he

Here he is reading his Peter Pan book, watching Peter Pan on TV and wearing his Peter Pan Hat. Too Cute. He's always loved hats, and this one at the moment is his favorite.
