Evelyn Jean our "Precious Gift" is 4!

On May 30th 2010 Our little Evelyn Turned 4! I can't believe my baby is that old. We asked her a month ago what kind of Birthday she wanted and all she said was "PINK!" So, that's what we gave her. We have a tradition to do a big family/friends party every other year, this year was an off year, so it was just the four of us celebrating.

I made an easy cake this year. Strawberry Pink cake with pink frosting, pink candles and princess figurines from the dollar store. Although it's more than a tad ugly... she loved it. I'll not get away with that for much longer. :)

She asked for Hot Dogs and Chips for her Party. Yum....

Here are her gifts before she dug into them.

Her main gift was a princess kit with princess Aurora, pink carriage, pink horse, changeable outfits and of course prince Phillip.

Egan Sporting Evelyn's Care Bear umbrella. (unfortunately this gift lasted only one day, Good thing I found it at a thrift store. :)

Mommy Daughter Birthday Date!

Evelyn and I dropped off Egan at school this morning and then went on a Mommy Daughter Birthday date. Just her and me. Tons of fun! We went to the mall and went wherever she wanted to go. First stop: See's Candies.

We got Yummy Chocolate Fudge Samples and we each got a Chocolate Sucker! Yum!

Evelyn is never happier than when she has chocolate.. (she gets it from me)

Next stop: Claire's

We looked at all the pretty jewelry and picked out a best friends matching necklace shaped like converse tennis shoes in pink and purple... of course.
We then went to lunch in the food court... Evelyn likes the "white chicken" at the Tai food restaurant there. (very similar to Panda Express) This "chicken" is actually sweet coconut shrimp. Yum!

While waiting to check out at Claire's Evelyn found a pair of pink glasses and posed for me while I took a picture. Absolutely Classic Evelyn. Anything pink, Anything silly goes.

Girls and Video Games.

The last few months the video game system has been in storage, on Saturday Aaron got it out to play with Egan. I've never taken to video games, perhaps its because I'm no good, but I think they just don't grab my attention and keep me interested. Evelyn has my opinion I think. We think video games are... b o r i n g. :)

Oregon Zoo!

We got free tickets to the Oregon Zoo from Egan's school, so the day before we were suppossed to move.. we took off to have some real fun at the zoo! Can you blame us? Here are a few pictures of the fun.

Yes, those are leashes you see on my kids... what can I say? They are already begging to go back. It was a long day but exactly what we needed.
